Nagelpflege
Gute Nagelpflege sollte nach drei Prinzipien durchgeführt werden: regelmäßig, sanft und gründlich. Regelmäßige Nagelpflege ist allein schon deshalb notwendig, weil Hände und Füße schließlich immer gepflegt ausschauen sollen. Ab und an nur einmal die Nagelschere einzusetzen, ist einfach nicht genug. Wer sich übrigens damit anfreunden kann, regelmäßig die Nagelpflege zu betreiben, kann dann auch ausschließlich auf die Nagelpfeile zurückgreifen, weil die Nagellänge einfach nicht so stark gekürzt werden muss. Die Nagelfeile ermöglicht nämlich eine weitaus sanftere Nagelbehandlung, weil die einzelnen Nagelschichten nicht gequetscht und verletzt werden, was letztlich zum Nagelbruch führen kann.
Sanfte Nagelpflege ermöglicht schöne und gepflegte Nägel und Hände mit möglichst wenigen mechanischen Verletzungen, die nicht nur hässlich ausschauen, sondern dem Nagelwachstum auch schaden können. Wer also die Nagelhaut sanft und regelmäßig zurückschiebt, kann sich Behandlungen ersparen, die dann mit Schere und anderen Hilfsmitteln stattfinden muss und oftmals Verletzungen der Nagelhaut mit sich bringt. Zudem ist die Nagelhaut - ähnlich wie die Hornhaut der Füße - so angelegt, dass sie umso intensiver wächst und stärker verhärtet, je derber sie entfernt wird. Nagelhautentfernung an Händen und Füßen sollte also möglichst nie mit der Schere stattfinden, sondern nur mit einem Nagelhautschieber aus Kunststoff oder Holz. Metallgeräte können auch zu schmerzhaften Verletzungen führen, die zudem ein intensiveres Nachwachsen der Nagelhaut nach sich ziehen.
Wer sich der Nagelpflege regelmäßig und gründlich widmet, wird sich in den Phasen dazwischen an schönen und gesunden Nägeln erfreuen können, die dank guter Pflege langfristig auch weniger brüchig sein werden. Und nur auf gepflegten Nägeln schaut dann dekorative Kosmetik, wie zum Beispiel Nagellack, auch wirklich gut aus.
